November Meeting
By: Sean Anker on: Mon 07 of Nov, 2005 [02:25 UTC] (531 reads)
There will be a November meeting! The date is November 17th at 11:30. The location will be the Garcia's Kitchen on Central near Old town.

This will be a business meeting with a lot of time for chat. The only item that must occur is annual elections.

If you are at all interested in helping support our Chapter, consider putting your name in the hat for an elected (or appointed) office.

After having a rogue file start spamming some folks, I got around to a little site maintenance. One of the primary goals I had was to restructure things a bit to make contribution a little easier, but in the process I figured out how to set up an RSS feed for the site.

Thank you to all who showed up in person or virtually via conference bridge to share your thoughts. My notes from the meeting are below. If you have comments or questions that you are willing to share with everyone, please reply to the list. If you'd rather keep it offline I'd be happy to answer any questions or post any corrections.

P.S. Any volunteers to help with the Web site???? If you are a member and already have an approved login you can probably submit or edit stuff right now!

July Meeting Report
By: Sean Anker on: Fri 22 of Jul, 2005 [14:53 UTC] (564 reads)
Nothing much better for relaxation than a picnic. We had a great turnout to eat their fill of burgers and brats.

This is the second year for an Engineering picnic. Last year was more of a TV RF picnic. This year the picnic was for the whole Engineering community.

Thanks to all stations who contributed to the picnic!

The June meeting as part of the NMBA convention had a bit of something for everyone. In keeping with it being a statewide convention, folks from all over the state made to trek to Albuquerque — Thanks! We covered a lot of ground, all of which was very informative.

May Meeting Thanks!
By: Sean Anker on: Wed 22 of Jun, 2005 [02:39 UTC] (805 reads)
Many, many thanks to Larry Bloomfield for bringing his Taste of NAB show to Albuquerque for the second year in a row! Once again it was an excellent event that featured several interesting products. In addition to Larry, three sales people from the various vendors showed up to help describe their products. We were also graced with a visit from Corrales' own Bill Kent from Burst Electronics (the other Burst!).
