So Thanksgiving is done and you feel like you’re about to Burst. Then Christmas shopping started and you feel like your wallet is about to Burst. That intermittent in the transmitter PA keeps coming back when the GM is listening and/or the mux that feeds the STL has fans going out and its glitching during primetime when the GM is watching, and you feel like your head is going to Burst. And with DTV, you can’t even adjust Burst anymore…are you sensing a theme here? If so, you’re right-something is about to Burst.

In this case, it’s a good thing. Because all of the above means it’s December, and that means it’s time for the annual SBE Chapter 34 Holiday Lunch; sponsered this year by Brad Hamlin and the good folks at Burst Electronics. Burst is the designer and builder of a wide variety of reliable faders, logo-inserters and small video routers. Brad told me he and his crew like to say they can build anything you need, if your pockets are deep enough. Hat’s off and a big thank you to Brad and everyone at Burst for sponsoring this year’s Holiday Lunch.

This year’s lunch will be at Powdrell’s Barbecue on 4th Street, just south of Montano. We’ll meet there at 11:30am on Thursday, December 17th. And while munching on some of the best barbecue around, you can take a break from everything that’s trying to Burst at work or home.

We’ll recap some of this year’s events and talk about some plans for 2010. The rest will be open-forum and to focus on enjoying lunch. Please plan on joining us. Again, it’s Powdrell’s on Thursday, December 17th, at 11:30am. If you’re planning to attend, please shoot me an email note so we can get an accurate head count.

Be there or be hungry. See you on the 17th.
